Turning Bubbles into Light: Our Collaboration with Searcys

At The Candle Bar, we’re always looking for ways to combine creativity with sustainability — and our recent collaboration with Searcys, the iconic British hospitality brand, was a beautiful example of just that.

We were invited to take part in a special activation where, instead of simply pouring candles into standard jars, we upcycled used champagne bottles from Searcys events and turned them into stunning, one-of-a-kind candles. These weren't just functional — they were conversation starters, keepsakes, and shining proof that sustainability can be stylish.

What made this experience so powerful wasn’t just the elegance of the final product — it was the reminder that sustainability doesn’t have to be complicated. With a little imagination, innovation, and yes, some patience, we were able to give new life to what would’ve otherwise been waste.

The Pouring Process

Cutting glass, polishing edges, selecting the right wicks, and pairing scents that complimented the celebratory nature of the bottles — every part of the process was a creative challenge that reinforced our belief:being kind to the planet starts with small, beautiful choices.

This collaboration opened up new doors for The Candle Bar — not just in terms of design, but in how we can help other brands, businesses, and event hosts infuse sustainability into their experiences. Whether it's reusing containers, designing refillable options, or upcycling your own materials, we’re here for it — and we love bringing others along for the ride.
